Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Beautiful capture Grace!
Excellent white balance control, sharp focus, nice eye clarity with bonus catch light on both, SUPERBULOUS details and sweet captured pose.
You did very well on your camera techs.
Fine work G!

Thank you! I'm not sure many people see sloths too often, our tropical garden at one of the zoos has this one -which I forgot to include in the long notes :)

your welcome

I did a lengthy review yesterday but my iPad batt went empty as I was about to send it!
So here I go again with different comments.
Informative notes!
This is a cute & candid overhead angle with Subtle illumination. Fine details features & textures despite the low lit condition.
Ideal framing.
Pin sharp focusing.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
Thanks for sharing...

Thank you for taking the time to review this twice! How frustrating when our devices turn on us :)
I appreciate your comments (and the effort!).

What interesting, enlightening facts! Thanks for including them! I like this photo a lot. It is very clear and crisp for the viewer, enough so to portray the coarseness of Chloe's fur. Her little head cock is very inquisitive... Great angle and position!

hi Envision,
a very interesting story as you went into great detail explain the aspects of it very informative.
great clarity in your shot as it hangs from the one claw.as it is neat to see the red palms and face I never see on tv.
as the vines look very interesting wrapping around the tree. great job.

A definite cyber six on this. I'm one of those who spend my sixes quickly. I wish I could have a few more each week! This one deserves special recognition. And I have enjoyed every word of your description. I have learned more about a sloth than I can remember....especially the hair growing in the opposite direction of it's feet due to hanging upside down most of its life. AND you have that captured perfectly in your photo...as are the claws. Such interesting points to discuss...but not here. This space can be completely filled with compliments on this composition and camera techs. Your ISO and f stop created just the perfect amount of light and DOF to bring the Sloth forward yet keep his surrounding as part of the story.
Your clarity is perfection..on the eyes, face, fur and the surrounding textures.
Your framing is great..with the subject filling the bottom corner. I wonder if there could be a bit more space on the top and bottom.. as to be able to matte and frame this outstanding and quite scientific capture. Our daughter would love it in her High School science room!! I absolutely love this...capture is 50% of the pleasure and the notes are the other 50%. Thank you for your efforts!

I don't mind the long description at all! This is a well taken shot. Focus is spot on as is the exposure. White balance is good. Wonderful mix of textures well emphasized with you nice handling f post processing. Really well composed with the subject seated well in the frame. I think the light on this beautiful animal and the sharpness of the eyes really makes the shot. It appears this was taken in either a zoo or sanctuary? I hope he was being well cared for.

Thank you very much. I guess I forgot to put in the ling description that Chloe is in the Tropical Gardens at the Como Zoo in St. Paul, MN! They do take good care of her and I watched her eat some romaine lettuce :) I think she is 8 or 9 years old and they live to be 20 years in the wild and in captivity they live to be between 30 - 40 years.
