Nice translucent light effects. The tight crop give us a great look. The shadow of the water lily has a nice effect on the scene. Good focus and use of lighting.

I think the mandrills were rather concentrated by the presence of the beetle, able to eat them all; lol;

This is a fresh and beautiful flower, Mary. I have not heard this name for what appears to be a Water Lily. Interesting.

Your little bug in the shadows is a nice touch as well.

Your colors are subdued..nothing is over saturated. Your yellow is quite gentle actually. Your water droplets are subtly reflecting without taking away from your subject. And your flower is placed nicely in your frame...give space to it's stem and spot among the leaves.

It is just a bit soft in clarity, but it goes with the soft yellow. I like it! Thanks for sharing.

Excellent choice of subject.
Effective highlighting creating dramatic shadows.
Verdant backdrop is visually soothing.
However, this image seems to have a hazy overtone.
I guess the color os not the natural lemon yellow--it's quite pale here...
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
