A great macro shot taken with great clarity and lighting, with an interesting (and very scientific!) narrative to accompany it. The close up shows the light white fur that covers the outer and the hairs that we see as only specks when getting our 5 a day!! good dark background with an element of foliage to the right to accentuate the subject and also create good perspective. I like the little smiley face with the coiff in the white stem too :) great shot, good work!

got the color red nailed, good background, shot with a macro lens The leaf indicates it was a bright day or maybe a flash and is a tag distracting but? I like the clarity especially on the husk, looks like a little pixie looking over the top of the berry, good luck on contest entry.

I knew I liked them for a reason. Thanks for the recap of the benefits of the great red berry. You have handled macro perfectly. The lighting and the crop make this berry feel 3D. The sharp features of the surface are outstandingly sharp and perfectly presented. Not sure there is a thing your could have done better. If I had another 6, it would be yours.
