Excellent notes explaining the working of the proboscis.....and a really fine image showing it.
Detail is just outstanding here. Image is well exposed w/ really fine color. Wonderful entrant for the macro contest. Best of luck.

This is a wonderful macro photo of a butterfly. To be able to see the proboscis so clearly is amazing and surprising. You can tell that the insect has multiple eyes because the photo is that sharp. Very well done. Thank you for sharing.
