Beautiful photo of an old waterwell. I like the coloring of this photo to make it look like an older photo!
This is well centered and shows great detail!
Another great job!

I was going to ask if this still works Great that it is still intact, Its almost hiding in the woods taking the place over,, I too agree with the black and white

I chose this one, because it is the concrete image which goes with things I have read. When I am ill, I don't struggle, I go to bed with a huge pile of paperbacks /interesting but not well written/ and endless cups of tea. When some Pakistanis near by shattered my shoulder bone, I was useless for a while and read a great deal of bad books and was surprised how memorable they are!!!! far more so than the literature degree stuff I am used to. One such paper back was about early Alaska and the wild ways and crimes of then. Really impressed itself on my mind. The murdered never found, till next Spring when the snows melted etc. and here is the same scene as is imprinted on my mind now!

What a great scene Pat. It reminds me of some of the old and mostly abandoned waterwheels in the Smokie Mountains. Your choice to render in black and white give the scene an old rustic feel. Nice work Pat ~ Steve

Thank you so much Steve! This one actually powered an ax grinder ! This is an interesting little tiny town with only 100 residents!

B&W really suits this image well,I think it brings out much more detail and character than would a color photo. Would really like to see it with the water running it,also. Great that you have such a unique structure to photograph!

Back in time......I love this type of photography. So beautiful in black and white with good tonal range throughout your image. A perfect shot for black and white with the old waterwheel and the stark woods behind has a charm about it. Very well photographed with good contrast and incredible details. Outstanding work and great find. Thanks for sharing! Love this!

I like your angle which gives us an unusual perspective and adds great depth to the photo. The close up frontal capture of the waterwheel shows well defined detail and especially well captured textures of the wood. The conversion to the monochrome black and white and the close framing amplifying the fine textures.

So like the b/w effect in this Pat gives it a much more authentic look, real good detail as well, although the balance of the wheel would look slightly better on the left, still think it is a nice shot..Brian
