What a beautiful creature, and how wonderfully you have presented him. Nice positioning, good use of light and shade, and a complementary background. Excellent work.

Grace,
A beautiful picture of the Red-vented Bulbul on the stone ledge with a tasty looking insect on the ledge in front of it. The dappled light highlighting it's patch of red feathers under it's tail & the light in it's eye. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A great shot of a rather plain bird. The only time I have ever seen them is in the aviary at the zoo. The image is very sharp and the detail in the eye is excellent.

So enjoyed reading your artist notes and find this bird fascinating. Perfectly cropped and well composed shot. Superb eye clarity.....that just draws you into your photography. Very well photographed with good camera techniques and excellent details in the feathers and markings of this beautiful song bird. Your wide aperture has rendered the background soft yet recognizable. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing.

Ah, so this is what this bird is. I think I saw a couple of these in the isolated parts of Afghanistan. They were just a flicker as we drove on the old dirt roads and of course never stopped as it was far too dangerous to do so. Nice sharp capture here with a nice balance of color and textures in the feathers. Nice one Grace ~ Steve

Thank you! I wonder if you did see them. I'm sure it was way too dangerous to stop and enjoy most anything over there.
