I think is a great representation of Ansel Adams. It's just the type of landscape You'd expect to see from him. Your image shows a good array of various grey tones and deep shadows that accentuate the lighter areas.

Capturing natural landscapes is in itself, a worthy talent. To engage our minds to see what you see, and retain the memory is quite commendable.
However, her photograph is dull for lack of deep contrasts. Remember, we're looking at a mountain against the skies.
Perhaps a slight change of perspective to the right, would have made this difference considering the weather at the moment you took this shot.
This would give a better perspective of the trees against the mountain.
Nevertheless, I commend your effort. Keep it up.

The light and shadows captured in this national park scene is dramatic. You have captured the light, mid, and dark tones of the scene with excellent clarity. I am impressed with the dark shadows on the pines and the rock formation in the foreground.
