It almost looks like the tree is full of diamonds, and it must have been beautiful when the sun was shining on it. You have indeed brought out the shine well, and it is a difficult to photo to take as well shooting straight into the sun.
The photo is sharp with clear and well defined details, and the all over exposure is very good. I do however think the sun is showing a bit too strong and blown out, but the light is falling so lovely on the tree and on the ground.
The cropping is working well, and the tree and the sun have got a fine placement within the frame. It is a truly lovely and well taken photo Willie, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so much! I have a hard time with this contest. I used this because of the head on shot of the sun. It had the star look even though it was blown out. The tree is almost a silohette with the ice twinkling.

Very good entry for the contest. I like the way the early morning sun is making the tree look as if it's covered with diamonds glistening. Very good lighting and focus. Excellent composition. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

I think it would have been better to let the sun make it glisten with out the sun which is making the picture dark and really affecting the quality of the shot. I think the basic composition would have been good and made an interesting shot.
