Suzanne,
A beautiful abstract image of these feathers that make me think of Ostrich tail plumes tossing in the breeze as the Ostrich runs. Created by your artist's eye for composition, knowledge of paints colours other artist's fluids and how they can react with each other when they come in contact with each other in bringing this scene to life.

I think those are the tail feathers of a Sandhill Crane. I like the touch of soft colors of the mostly white and black feathers. The limitation of color is intriguing. The artwork is excellently composed and framed.

Those could even be Pteranodon feathers,Suzanne!
( Recent paleontological thinking supports the theory that the larger Azdarchid pterosaurs of late Cretaceous times were probably covered with small white and/or grey feathers! )
Your painting looks great,my friend, and it stirs my imagination wonderfully! : )

Another fine example of how wildly creative you are with this process. So much texture and depth make the feathers just explode off the piece. Oh, and congratulations for being Artist of the Year! So well deserved.

Beautiful feathers in the silvery white, charcoal grey , black and gold against a blue sky, it's as if they are floating on the wind, i love the feather shapes and the plushness of the feathers. Well created, arranged and presented!
