I think the contrast in this is just right and to include the rocks in front not only adds extra interest it also adds a sense of distance and that is always good in landscapes,good one...Brian

This is one of those shots that could benefit from HDR. The detail in the highlights is a bit lacking but the view along the Merced River is a classic.

Chris,
A beautiful picture of the glistening river Merced as it weaves it way though it's rock strewn river bed in Yosmite a wonder of the "New World" the sky above, the trees lining it's valley, the steep rocky cliffs that rise up on either side & mountains in the distance. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Beautiful photograph of the lake in the Yosemite valley. I like the rocks and log used as foreground elements. Sharp focus, Good DoF, Very nice composition, Nicely placed in the frame, and Natural colors and tones. Very nice Landscape Photograph, well done!

This landscape scene is so will done. It looks like you had to squat or sit down to get the angle of the close up rocks and the flat distance of the lake surface. Anyway, this is just a beautiful photograph of a beautiful place. Reasons for my five star vote.

This is such a pretty scene, I like the rocks in the foreground , the lake and the way it is reflecting the sky and trees, the beautiful formations in the back under a blue sky with white clouds.
