A very fine specimen. The light is beautiful and it reveals the details of the tulip very well. A nicely composed image with beautiful colors.

I really like this shot! The tulip is so clear down to the ruffled edges. No distractions in the background taking away from the single flower. Really pretty color flower too! The edges look like the pink has been stroked on with a paintbrush. Nice entry!

Seeing this photo at first I was thinking to look at a lamp. I guess you used manual settings of your camera. It amazes me how you archived such a special glow of afternoon light just within the flower. It is impressive how you preserved refined details at the petals despite the glow. The background almost entirely black amplifies the special light. The tall framing emphasizes the Tulip and the sparse colors of the petals and the stem.

You are right! It does seem to glow from within. I like that the flower is set against the black background. That really makes the flower pop. Since the sun is shining there has to be post-production work done here and you have done it very well. This should have been in a contest.

Indeed this tulip has come alive with the light filtering through as if this is an ornamental piece for the mantle piece and one could switch it on and off at will. The details within your focusing are beautifully sharp

You can see and fell the glow coming from center of the tulip and beaming towards the edges of the bloom, which is effectively framed with the black background. Great photograph, Barbara!

This is a beautiful tulip with white petals edged in the deep pink tones, it is standing out in such a lovely way from the dark background, it seems to glow from within.
Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural.
Well composed and presented!
