Beautiful dress of your ballerina. This was alot of work with the Pastels. Great job over all. I would like to see less muscle in the back and maybe a different color of hair so I can see her bun a little better. Those two things I mentioned is the reason for the four and a half stars good luck to you. Laprap

It looks like the skirt is swirling some, but maybe she's sitting since we're looking down on her, can't tell for sure. But if she's swirling, the skirt is going one way and the back tie on bodice is going the other. I like the lost feather on the floor. Shading on both the ballerina and the skirt is very well done. Her hair tendril on the left is a nice touch. Overall a very nice composition, James.

Apparently this ballerina is resting while waiting for her next performance. Your Pastel reminds a bit of paintings by Degas, especially the light. The flow of the costume around the ballerina is intriguing. The colors are pleasant. Perspective and proportions are exact. The Pastel is well composed.
