Quite a striking image posted here of that big lass! Never knew that Sheffield was such a hot-bed of elitism. Your fine and striking composition works well with the colours and tones you employed. Nicely painted!

thank you. Nikman, you would be surprised. I take little note, as I have always concentrated on painting, but you have to be 'in'. I got jobs ten a penny in London, but here in Sheffield, I travelled to Barnsley to teach, as I am foreign, from Lincolnshire. In my humble opinion, Yorkshire people are very much louder, but Cockneys are in fact much friendlier I found. I had so many friends, english people in London, and did not have to make an effort to find them. I am only here because I was needed by widowed mum and son who was very sick as the only female in the family. They say it is because Sheffield was a very poor industrial city. I have not bothered to research the why-s and wherefore-s. You would be surprised how many Sheffielders have fled to London.

Well created to show Ann as she sits on the stool posing for the artists, well shaped woman's body , she has long hair that flows almost to her waist. I like the way you used the colors too. Well presented!
