You and your precious humorous headless birds. I like them. The background is wonderful. The bird could be taken for several images but I take your reliable word that it is a swan. It is like is is wapped
in its feathers, like a white blanket folded.

Interesting title and subject. I certainly hope he simply has his head under water and not the victim of a gator snack. :) Your background is underexposed while the swan is overexposed, eliminating texture from both the water and the swan.

Wow again, how are you doing with these pictures without heads? OMG this one has no more head and that means he is dead right? I am sorry to be speechless, but I have no idea what to say, as you know I am feeling the energy right now - your shot is perfect in all details, but the content is horrific for me, sorry

thats sad..i am curious about one thing..why the croc eat just the head? gaters back here would have swallowed that bird whole..just curious. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this headless bird in the water is great and sad. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

good question.....
maybe the croc was just very shy and didn't like that the swan was looking at him;

Omg it really does look
Like a swan without a head lol. It's quite hilarious actually. I always wanted to draw a swan and paint it in pastels. But I would draw mine with a head lol. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing picture and for the humor. I wish you a beautiful week

Ha ha... another one from your humorous lake photography collection. This time it's this flawless white swan which has gone headless. I love this witty deployment of angles in photography. Kudos

A very humourous photograph presented here of this headless swan on the lake, maybe playing ostrich, lol To be honest it just looks ready for the oven. Great shot, well done

Fred,
I fear to disagree with you againg regarding this "Headless" Swan who's head & long neck are hidden by the water as it "Bottom Feeds" on the lake's bed. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A reasonable nature shot posted here. Think your image is under-exposed and dull. There is very little detail in it to enjoy. Pose and title are good though.
