A nice capture of the moth caterpillar for sure. No distractions just the perfectly sharp focused subject taking up the screen. There are so many amazing critters both large and small in this world. Nice

Nice shot of this Cappadiller (as my son used to say;). The colours are beautiful. I looks so soft and fluffy!! I like how they wiggle when they walk. A great entry for this contest!! Well captured, thanks for sharing

Eeeks! :) Can't imagine how this creepy crawly can turn into a beautiful butterfly! This is a wonderful shot of nature. You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colours and, composition have worked out well. Good luck!

A very nice shot. The details are excellent and should enable someone with more knowledge of insects to confirm your identification. It vaguely resembles a gypsy moth caterpillar but I think you are right about it.

Thank you! Yes, it does resemble a gypsy moth but after researching I believe it is the other one.

Jodi,
A beautiful picture of The Lackey Moth caterpillar with it's blue & orange stripes & buff & black coloured tufts on it's black skin on the smooth bark on a branch. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

Fine capture of this moth caterpillar. Is in on stone? You really were able to get close to capture it kinda larger than life. Nice blue, blonde colors in it.
