Hi LeeAnn, this is gorgeous! I love the round shape of this tree and it's placement within the frame off to the right. I love that it s just one tree , it really draws the eye and invites the viewer to study the shape and structure.The field with golden grasses and wildflowers is beautiful too!
The sky shows that a storm is coming, it makes the perfect background for the tree and field, the blue / grey really compliments the golden tones.
You have photographed it so well with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear natural.

Fine photography that indeed captures a storm coming in. The clouds are still nice and visible. The lone tree seems ok with the storm; it is pretty as is the field with grasses and a few flowers.

It is the dramatic looking sky doing this photo more than anything, but also the tree and the field of flowers in the foreground looks great. Before a rainstorm it is also a very special light, which is very visible in this photo.
The photo is of course also sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the tree. The exposure is spot on.
The format and framing is perfect, and with the tree off to the right, it is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Lee Ann, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

The tree kind of pops out from darkness. It almost looks like the tree is ready to fight the storm.
