I personally love pigeons, they are so friendly and beautiful! People see how common they are and don't think they are as pretty, but this is certainly a great picture of a pigeon! I love the eye.

Hi Pat, I don't care if these pigeons are common. I don't get to see very many close-ups of them and I love the shade of purple on this one! Looks like there is a little touch of green on top of the purple. This fellow was very enjoyable to look at. Love the turned head and red eye! Very nice presentation with nice focus and lighting. :o) Nancy

Indeed the eye makes this shot come to life. He /she seems to be focus on something, maybe your camera, ha. The blurred background serves to isolate the subject very well. The purple is a great accent color. Good shot and so near by!

I have commented on your photos before. I have given you six star rating many time. I am an honest {I hope} reviewer. Although this is a very nice shot. The purple feathers are interesting and a bit in focus. I have to give you the four and half star. The bird is not sharp. It looks sharp when small. but when I see it enlarged it is out of focus. Sorry. Look at it and you will see it. I bet you saw the shot and hurried up and shot before the auto focus focused. I happened to me.
