This is a lovely creation of Spring Art. The blossoms are so pretty against the blue sky and water. What I would like to say is I don't think the boat is necessary. The spring blossoms make it already a lovely scene Glena!

Very pretty scene and I can tell the work you did was detailed and patient. I love the peaceful color, and the diagonal direction of the forward branches brings the viewer the the boat. The details and texture created in the water and in the flowers is notable. Good work! :)) Alex

I can also visualize myself getting into that rowboat with my oars and rowing across that vast blue body of water and relishing seeing more trees in blooming pastel colors of Spring.

Thank you for your review and kind words. I had this one different with many limbs, greenish in background and no horizon line, but I wanted to change from the reference. Thanks again for your review and encouragement.

This is beautiful! I love how detailed it is! The only thing I would do is add some ripples in the water. Also don't make the flowers glow as much it takes away from the beautiful scene behind it! Good luck!

Thanks for reviewing. So many opinions. Many like as is. My focus is on the cherry blossoms. I originally had the ripples in the water and no shoreline, just blossoms, boat, and limbs. Perhaps I should keep it that way, as it is in my acrylic painting. Thanks again.

It's cool and colorful. The details is great. The shading is great. The depth is great. The blend of the colors is great. Glena the one thing I need to mention your angle of the boat is off. The way you painted it is like the viewer is doing a more of a downward view of the boat. Where the boat is place in the water it should be showing more of the side and a lil of the top inside view. No worries it's still a colorful creation. Just giving some helpful hints. The presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Creative approach and good job overall

It's cool and colorful. The details is great. The shading is great. The depth is great. The blend of the colors is great. Glena the one thing I need to mention your angle of the boat is off. The way you painted it is like the viewer is doing a more of a downward view of the boat. Where the boat is place in the water it should be showing more of the side and a lil of the top inside view. Thank you so much, artist Mark, for reviewing and for your valuable input. I originally did have the viewer looking down into the boat and changed when I probably should have kept as I had on my original painting.

Thanks for reviewing, I guess. The boat does seem to be lifted in order to show the inside but I would think a 3 is rather low.

Thanks for reviewing. I do think the boat appears lifted but the rating is low compared to the others. I looked at your "Surprised" drawing and it really needs work. Sorry but a 3 is quite insulting.

When everyone gives you a 5 and it has a glaring issues, you need to ask yourself who is really telling me the truth and trying to help me improve. I teach and as such I think I am am very fair in my assessments and ratings.
If you were my student I would say, redo the painting and work on getting the perspective right.
if you like what you have just say he is crazy and then move on.
By the way the rating is a fair honest one.

You are right. I think I focused on the cherry blossoms and missed the other. I see. I hope you'll review some of my other work, especially portraits and animals (not the fowls with the wing as I've not done that before) and help me with your input. The scene is lovely but my boat is way off, like it is being lifted and the shore line too. I had the original different, per reference, all blossoms and limbs, boat and water, so I failed to make up the shore line and other as I should have. Thanks again for your input, help.

Your cherry blossoms are cool, the colours of blue makes them stand out more, but your boat is not exactly to scale here, at first I thought I was looking down but the shore line in the background does not make sense, I think the boat should be more on its side maybe? Am I wrong here to think this?

Thank you for your review, artist friend Lise, and your special input. You are right the boat is somewhat on its side as we see the inside too, but like its lifted up by un unseen wave so perhaps I should have left it as I had it and also no shoreline, however fairly busy. Should probably make the foliage, that is disappearing, higher than I did.
