HI Ray, I swear you have transparent curtains in this image billowing in the wind! When you combine it with the flowers the image does indeed look bright and airy. The colors give this a nice delicate look to it too! This image has such a lovely soothing feel to it. One can imagine their worries just drifting away! Congratulation My Friend on your 2nd place win! :o) Nancy

This is indeed a delicate looking abstract, emphasized by the use of a limited color pallet using only shades of yellow and pink. Even if this is an abstract, it is easy to pick out the different items of a still life, and I especially like the little vase with blossoms. You have also managed so well to bring out a shine in the glass by good use of high lights.

It is great textures to be seen, but this time added with a light hand. It is an almost see through feeling to this painting.

The tall format is perfect, and it is such a good balance in the composition. I think this is a truly beautiful and well done painting Ray, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I do enjoy your color choices here, Ray. I don't quite understand the painting but your art tends to leave me in a quandary anyway. Lol Just a difference in taste, I suppose.
I think the technique with the white floaty things would be cool with a candle's flames.
What do they represent?
Possibly a sheer curtain blowing in the wind?
Great post. Smiles

My last one had the candles but thats a great idea, Jewell. The white fluffy things are free thoughts. If you look the right you will see a face and I would say these floating free thoughts belong to that person in the painting. I would say a free thinker with a lot of ideas m/f. Just enough mystery. Jewell thank you for the great ideas and wonderful review. Ray

This painting came out great. Your skills of creating translucent imagery are top notch. The textured paper also adds a really nice quality to the layers of color and shapes. Great submission, good luck!

HI Ray.. I like this new direction combining realism with abstractionism.

This could lead to a number of new avenues of expression.

The base colors are a good match for the theme you created.

The white ghost like images that are sort of floating around lends a touch of the surreal - I like that.

The title is an apt description but I must say I am not sure about the bird part... Bob

And light and airy too, it has a happy feel to it!
It reminds me of the old days of photography when you could do double exposures (intentionally or in error!), or like this, even possibly a triple exposure!
I like it very much Ray, an interesting change in colour scheme, which is reflected so well in the title.
Very good luck in the contest.

Vibrant hues dance across the canvas in this abstract painting, evoking a sense of weightlessness and serenity, as if colors themselves were floating on a sunlit breeze. A fine effort. Thanks for sharing!

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of what appears to me to be glasses and vases in a lovely garden? Well painted and good luck!
