The water lily looks really lovely, and also the reflections from it is well done. The dark green background is working well, but I think you could have made the flower brighter. Now the whole picture looks a bit gloomy.

I also think the composition could have been better. I cannot say the balance is totally off, but the lilies and pads are too much spread around with nothing to hold the composition together.

I think this would have looked much better if you had left out The lilies in the background and placed the pads closer to the main flower.

Still I think this is an over all well done digital creation, but in need of some adjustments. I wish you luck with the contest.

Hi Annie, thanks again for your constructive comments. I see what you meant by a bit gloomy. Flowers should be vibrant and attention gathering. I did increase the brightness in photoshop to make the painting less gloomy. So thanks once again!
