What a great shot you posted. I love all the subtle shades of green, analogous for sure. Nice placement of the cicada in the frame. The dark, diagonal branch adds interest. Well done. I am from the Midwest also and expect them to emerge in numbers this summer.

Hi Cindy, You did a awesome job capturing this Cicada! Every inch of him is in focus. The eye really pops! You don't often see Cicada's posted here so it was a special treat to see this one. This is a great capture of a cicada. Focus and clarity are excellent showing beautiful details of his body and especially the wings. Background nicely blurred so as to not distract from the subject at hand. Good luck in the contest.
