Thank you for converting to B&W. I think if you had not done the conversion the deer and the trees would blend together, and the Deers features would simply disappear amongst the tree trunks.
You tweaked the image just enough to heighten detail and improve contrast. Thus, the image is very viewable.
Good luck in this contest, you should do very well with tis shot... Bob

A lovely photograph of this buck surveying the surroundings. Such beautiful animals. Beautiful focus and clarity, showing a lot of detail. Black and white works well.

I know this may sound funny, but it actually looks like this buck is smiling! Love how you catch so many of your deer shots in totally relaxed positions. Love how this buck is framed between the trees. Though I love color shots this one is very nice in BW Good Luck in the contest L!

Can understand this being entered for b/w contest but i wonder if color might have been a better choice in this,i say that as the buck because of its tone sort of blends in with its surroundings,no bad thing but in this case feel it needs to stand out more...Brian

A very lovely visual presented here of this buck as he's resting amongst the trees. I like that you use black-and-white to highlight him. The angle that you use also captures this moment in time perfectly. Well done.

In the world of black and white, every shade tells a timeless story. Afine capture of a buck resting in the shade. The light and shadows, and composition have worked out well. Good luck!
