I don't think you could get very much closer than this, and especially the shiny eye is well captured showing the fine high light.

The focus is spot on and sharp showing truly lovely clear and well defined details in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is perfect.

The very tight cropping is working well, and the head of the bird is well placed within the frame. This is a fantastic looking and well taken photo Willie, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I know in the past Willie you have shot lots of cardinal photos but this has got to be the best yet,extreme close up and the detail is superb,there will not be a better photo in this contest...Brian

This is an extraordinary close up shot. I love the expressive eye. The colors are so vivid and the textures are pretty well-defined. Great framing with that greenish background. Lighting, angle, and focus are superb. A stellar!
