This dabchick is so cute. You've presented this well with matching brown borders all around. The angle is good, but not defined at all for lack of focus and isolation of the main subject. An increase in lighting is also needed in this image. Informative artist notes.

Thanks for taking the time to review this imperfect picture of the Dabchick. The fact it was taken at full 30x Zoom might be one reason the focus is NOT as sharp as it should be!!!

You did a great job in making it at full zoom 30X. Unfortunately, some cameras do not have that high resolution factor and no matter what you do, it will not give you that high definition images especially if it is on a far distance. It is not sharp at all from my screen and almost not recognizable. Anyway, Susan, what is important is that you have the joy that day capturing this moment. I will keep going there and just have fun. If it is too far, maybe, it is not meant to be for photography purposes but just for you to appreciate the pleasant scene. Take care and have a great weekend.

Acute little guy featured here, but I think a closer crop would help bring him to the forefront and a little more clarity. A lovely photograph in generality.

Michele,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this little Dabchick. It was taken at full 30 x Zoom.I cropped it as far as possible without losing all focus.

Busy Park seems to be a lovely place to visit. Composition shades, tones colours and subject matter is very lovely to view. Thank you for sharing.

The dabchick is so fluffy! I like its placement within the frame and the way it stands out from the green water.
Focus is a bit soft but I like the way the sunlight falls upon it and the reflection too.
Well composed and presented!

The chick's gaze seems to follow you, capturing a moment frozen in time. Every curve and detail of this picture tells a story of its own. Lovely capture. Good luck!

A good looking image presented here into the competition! Wonder why you think that lovely bird is being cheeky? It looks to young to be! Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!
