I love the composition of this photo. How the snow slants up the side of the photo and the bird perched on top. He can feel the coldness that the bird must feel in the snow.

I have never heard of a Junko bird. Nevertheless, I think you have captured him wonderfully in the snow. The focus and clarity are good and show his plumage well; the color contrasted well by the snow.

This piece is an excellent entrant for this contest.
The focus on the little Junco is absolutely sharp as a tack. All features of this little avian is sharp and well lighted.
Facial details are all so well defined so much so I can count individual feathers.

What a great capture! The little bird is so well focused, and that little dab of snow on the beak is so endearing. Very good dof isolating the little fella and making him stand out well.
