I'll be honest Allan - I have never dabbled in digital art and feel lost on how to review it. All I can offer is the end result, and this presentation creates a feeling of warmth, hope and love. I like the composition of 3, with the main bloom accompanied with two buds. I find the image to be well framed, with nice detail, color and both Low & High Lights. The soft blue / dappled background adds to the feeling of peace and harmony. Very Nice.

Thanks Kathy. I used to do a lot of acrylic painting. Digital is very similar as it starts with a blank canvas and you can select brushes and then use the stylus as the brush. Best thing is the cleanup is the off button!
I have mixed emotions about AI art though. With simple texts words one can create near master pieces. I did that for a bit and even won a couple FAR contests but always felt I was cheating. So I stopped doing that form of "art".

I agree - while AI sounds fun, and I've seen some extraordinary pieces - It saddens me that technology is replacing experience and skill in the various crafts (even jobs). Thank you for explaining the difference between AI and Digital - it sounds like digital only replaces the stretched canvas and still required the artist to paint and create on the screen with a mouse or stylist. Whereas AI does all the creating for you. (is that correct?)

Basically that is right. But there are many definitions to muddy the water. In an AI setting you could type the simple text :frog on lily pad, jumping to catch a fly. The result would be amazing, the frog jumping, water splashing, flowers,
a tongue catching a fly and so on. You did nothing except type a few words. In my case I started with a blank canvas and used individual brush strokes (2,097 to be exact as digital can keep track).
But some people may develop an AI image and then import into Photoshop, change a setting or two, and then call in digitally integrated scene to avoid calling it AI. I agree, it takes away individual creativity. I no longer use it.
