Wonderful artwork of the stage filled with performers ready to go through the curtain. Nice contrast of colors and great depth for this unique and striking piece.

This is an intriguing painting, and I especially like the contrast between the golden colors the purple/green ones. The vertical and horizontal lines at the top reminds me of the cord weights you find back stage.
As always it is great textures to be seen, and the golden part brightness the painting and gives it life and light.
The format and framing works well and it is a fine flow and balance in the composition. It is lovely and well done painting Ray.

Annie thank you so much for your in depth and wonderful review. I have done set design for about ten plays and I know my way around the stage, I started in high school and have been hooked for quite some time. I am so glad you like it. Ray

It is always nice to see alternate approaches. The colours gently overflow, which seems to lead to the gentleness of the painting. The texture gives it added interest. Well done!

I guess this one is about staging on a stage although to be perfectly honest Ray without the title i would not have guessed this, sometimes i do feel [like the umbrella one] a more visual interpritation of your stuff is better[others and even you might disagree though]...Brian

Appearing as a crumpled painting on paper, whatever your technique, I can visualize rafters, a high ceiling and low lighting, here. I see a crowd beyond the open door in the golden lighting.
Great title for this one.
Having spent lots of time on stage, I can see how fitting this is. I even see the dark curtains pulled open on each side.

Hi Jewell, this is all done with a palette knief and several layers. I am glad you can assimilate, being on stage. I use to design sets for theater guild. Thank you for your fine review. Ray
