This image looks like it is composed from cut glass with all the sharp corners, colors and angles. The black background helps to set off the colors very well.

She is so lovely and you really have dressed her well with many colors. I also love the way that you have painted her hairdresser, that looks like she belong to the royal family. This piece really stands out with the dark background. Excellent painting skills and choice of contrasting colors. A lovely portrait, Maureen.

Hi Maureen - this is a very vibrant, colorful, interesting soft pastel. Did you reproduce this from a picture? If so, I'm curious to learn if she is wearing some kind of ceremonial outfit. The headdress is captivating and reminds me of gemstones. I like how the colors and patterns of the headdress carry or flow to her collar. I also like the tight frame that keeps the viewers eye's locked in on the subject. Your subjects face expression offers the sense of preparedness, or contemplation. As with all your work, this is skillfully presented and offers a story of interest.

This was done with some references but I put my own colours and detail into it. It represents how complex women are and to always look farther than skin deep as to who we are as a person.

A funny thing happen to me. I was painting a whole bunch of crystals I was getting ready to post and low and behold, I met the Woman of many colors. This is really amazing work and it is gorgeous. I love the whole idea and it is a shame that people react like fools when it comes to the color of peoples skin and inbred predigest. My thoughts on the matter is, that all people must start to get together and work for common goals before it is too late. Keep on showing your fabulous work. Ray
