A very fitting illustration, not only for the contest, but also for the season... we just had our first snow of the year :o( So I relate to the expression on this character (moon).
I really like how you have used at least 5 different hues of blue to create this piece.
Though this piece is perfect for the contest - I feel it is a powerful illustration for "Many" stories to be told.
It captured and held my attention as my mind spun with various thoughts of how this image could be used to illustrate emotion.

Hi Mark, Though I know these are teardrops the image reminds me of the sun. I can hear that song that has these lyrics, "By losing everything it's like the sun going down on me!" Very sad! I see a lot of pain here! So many teardrops that once were sunny rays! Blue definitely fits the image! Because I suffer from severe anxiety I can definitely feel this one!
