although you don,t see much of the buck in this it does show are clever they are at disguising them selves and at least you got its eyes in this plus the antlers,good one for this contest...Brian

A pretty artistic presentation with just the gazing eyes and its buck in focus. I love the textures of the dried twigs and vegetations. The colors and the scene are so earthy and is indicative of the Fall season. I love the shot and I feel so intimate with nature while viewing this scene.

Awe, what a great shot of Vader as he peeks out from the brush to keep his one on his favorite doe! I love that you got the top portion of his face above the brush . Well focused, this image is sharp and clear and your exposure is perfect bringing forward natural colors and tones. Well defined detail in his ears and crown and I love the clear eyes!
Well composed allowing a good sense of this location . Well presented! Excellent entry for this contest! Very best wishes to you!

I wish I had an extra star! This is a fabulous capture with story telling quality and just a flat out great image!
If you look at it just right, the antlers look like scary hands with long nails. Hehe weird but I just noticed that.

Excellent and unique perspective for the subject. Also like how the diffused lighting appears very natural. The DOF is near perfect, perhaps one more step down to sharpen his eyes as well as all the tips of the tines. However, that is just me being super picky.
On a side note, I am not sure that adjusting sharpness and brightness alone equates to a Mixed Media photo. The buck and all of the surroundings appear exactly as they would be expected to appear if the viewer were there in person.
Overall a great composition and one I would definitely frame to display in a prominent location.

Thanks for a wonderful review; I took this last year, and probably did some additional editing on it at the time, but not sure exactly what, so I chose to post as a mixed media.
