OMG! I would like to decline tooâ€"for my life's sake! This is an intriguing shot, very apt for the contest! You framed it well, and the light, shadows, colours, and composition worked well. Good effort!

A good photo of the tarantula spider, in the hand shows great perspective of size. Your hand is clear but I feel the spider is not quite as clear as he could be,

This should have been a great entry for the Spider's contest. Great focus, lighting, and angle. The presentation is unique, it being in the hands. Great shot, Brian.

OMG I would have used the exact same excuse!! LOL
So I'm presuming that's not one of the dangerous spiders - But I thought tarantulas were dangerous?
Either way it makes a pretty scary photo. Well done for taking it and good luck in the contest.

My wonderful grandchild had the opportunity to hold a tarantula. It was his favorite. On the other hand I would be running. Composition shades, tones colours and presentation is very well done. Thank you for sharing.

Oh my goodness ! I would never hold this huge spider , I know there are people who keep them as pets . You have captured it well Brian and the hand works perfectly to give scale as to the size of the tarantula.
Well focused, clear image with correct exposure. Colors and tones appear true and natural. Well composed and presented!

Brian, You know what they say, " A spider in the hand is worth two in the bush". Personally I'll take the two in a bush. Makes a nice pet as long as you don't have to walk it. Ray

Thats right, the photographer doesn't have to touch the subject but gets the credit for the great capture. Ray
