This is a very dramatic shot of the sunflower's head, center and petals. The focus and clarity are extraordinarily clear showing wonderful detail. Beautifully done.
I lived in Singapore when my father was in the RAF. Changi at that time was an RAF Airforce base. We lived in RAF Tengah, but I went to school at the Changi Base for Kids the were in RAF families.

Beautifully captured and centered to accentuate the lovely features of this sunflower. The textures of the soft petals and the coarseness of the seedpods can be visually felt through the screen. The colors are natural and beautiful. a super sharp focus along with dof is allowing wonderful detail throughout the image and the environmental background supports and PROMOTES the image.
I was so sorry to read about your husband. If your like me, photography and consequently being outdoors helps. I've personally been struggling for a year and a half with my parents (a sad story, that has left me POA and overwhelmed), I too, rejoined FAR to have a distraction, calm my emotions and attempt to retain a piece of me through my photography.
