Ruth Ann - this is such a beautiful landscape shot that showcases those majestic peaks!
I sincerely can't imagine your perspective for the shot could be any better. You have offered the viewer(s) a natural leading line with that river - it invites us into the scene where we can follow it into the trees and beyond.
The season offered a wonderful splash of yellows to the image. That sky with only a few scattered clouds is gorgeous.
The image is sharp, balanced, aesthetically pleasing and offers a feeling of "AWE" as we are given a moment to acknowledge the wonderful scenes around us.

Ruth Ann, this is a beautiful vista close to Yellowstone Nat'l Park. The natural foliage stands out well along the river. Looks like fall was setting by the colors in the middle. Beautiful mountains and a beautiful sky. All the best to you and thank you for sharing. Ray

This indeed a breathtaking and beautiful landscape Ruth Ann, and you have pictured it so well. The distant mountains are standing out from the lovely sky in such an excellent way, and I also like the way the colors from the autumn tree are reflected in the water of the river.
The photo is sharp showing such clear and well defined details all over, and the exposure and white balance is perfect. I also appreciate the nice and natural colors.
The format and framing is perfect and with an excellent POV the river creates great leading lines. It is a very fine balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Great angle, depth of field, composition, and right white balance control setting showing authentic colors. The textures of the stony and pebbled foreground and the layers of colors are prominent.
