The guy looks deadly! This is a fine shot of the wildlife. You framed it well, and the light, shadows, colours, and composition worked well. Good effort! Good luck!

Congratulations on your 100th post and a very good 100 it has been. Great shot of this Beastly Little Brown Bat. Good colours and exposure. I like the colours and textures of the rock and the bat stands out well from it. Good focus, texture and clarity. Well done and good luck in the contest :-)

A very interesting and unique visual presented here of this little bat. Most people would find them ugly. I actually find them to be very cute. Composition shades, tones colors, and overall presentation is very well done Kathy. Thank you for sharing.

The only subject that literally freaks me out is "Grasshoppers". Something about their skeleton being on the outside of their body really grosses me out. LOL. Yeah, I thought this little guy was pretty amazing - It was a rare opportunity to get a picture of a 2" flying mammal resting on a rock. Thank you for taking a look :o)

A good looking nature image posted here! Can't claim to have seen a bat in my life. I thought they were all black? Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

This little one was only 2" long - I'm not surprised you have never seen one - they enjoy seclusion. I can't imagine ever getting another opportunity to photograph one again. Thank you for taking a look at this image.

This is the first bat I believe I have seen here. I am terrified of bats , I don't know why , I just am ! This is such a creepy little critter and I find it to be interesting to view as it is resting on the lichen covered rock. It has such large ears that look like leather and its wings are folded. It has opened its mouth to reveal those sharp teeth( that is scary for sure) you have captured it well with nice focus , this image is clear and your exposure is perfect, colors and tones appear natural. Well defined soft texture of its fur .its a nice placement within the frame allowing a good sense of its size, shape and its location.well composed and presented! This is an awesome entry for this contest! Best wishes to you and that you for sharing ! Oh, congratulations on post number 100!

LOL - It was incredible we even saw him from the trail. He is only 2" long. I doubt I'll ever have this opportunity again, as they are very private little mammals. This one was upset that we disturbed his/her nap. Thank you for this fun, enthusiastic review.

Kathy, an excellent capture of this Beastly Brown Bat, as it perches on the lichen covered rocks. Probably didn't get back to the cave on time, Looks a little ticked off. Very nice shot and it is the first time I saw a picture of a bat on theis site. Very nicely presented. Ray

Yeah, he was a little pissed we awoke him from his nap. Thank you, Ray, for checking him out! I always look forward to reading your impressions of my work. :o)

LOL, your title really nailed the letter B contest. : ))
You managed to capture this little guy very well (I assume from an adequate distance!). It is not often one can get this close to a bat. The detail is outstanding. It must be the teeth and clawed feet that makes us afraid of them. I may or may not sleep tonight!! Nice capture.

Thanks for checking this little guy out! Yeah, he was not happy that we interrupted his sleep.
