I adore these little goldfinches. I'm always mesmerized with them when they visit my birdbath. Their color is so bright and vibrant. This is a fun image of this one enjoying the water. The color balance, focus and depth have all come together to achieve a very sharp capture, whereas the viewer can discern the sparse white coloration in the plumage, and the detail of the wing pattern. A skillfully executed photo - very nice. Good luck in the contest.
