I have seen and enjoyed many water lilies but don't think I have ever seen that many and of the same color all booming at one time. The Egret is certainly a focus point and showcased very well. Nicely done :)

Thanks so very much, they are a non native species which was planted by the original owners that has spread, the beavers that live in one of the ponds don’t eat these, and have eaten pretty much all the native white lilies.

Wow! I have never seen a white egret. Great capture in a lily pond full of pink lilies. It surely makes the stark white bird stand out.
I think I would have cropped it below that dark stripe to center it. Just my thoughts.

Thanks so much, yeah, I’m not thrilled with that dark section of open water, either, tried editing it, but wasn’t happy with the result. Maybe I’ll try again.

A great portrait of this white Egret set against pink waterlilies. His pose is beautiful with an interesting shape to his neck at the time of the shot. I think though, the photograph would be better if the blurred waterlilies were cropped out. Good luck in the contest.
