I love these guys too. They are quite jumpy and hard to get a good shot of. At least for me. You have created this Kingfisher in a wonderful way with his little minnow. Perfect composition and surroundings. Great job and thank you for sharing :)

Hi Lynn, I use to have hair like that, This is a hansom Kingfisher, and i am proud to say Iknew what it was right away. All the birders keep me educated. You did a wonderful job with yoyr digital painting. You covered all aspects beautifully and so realistic, a great illusion. Ray

Hi Lynn, Love the way the Kingfisher's feathers and branch came out. The only thing a little off is the fish. It doesn't come across quite as well. The rest is very nice including the the background. Love your placement of the Kingfisher too. Since my thought on the fish are just my personal opinion I won't knock of any points. Love the rest of the image! :o)

The Kingfisher bird is very well rendered. Lovely, smooth lines. Fineness of the features well drawn. The shading is just fine. Excellent composition, colour coordinates and what have you! Overall, a very good effort.
