This is a great sketch. I love her calves. You capture the muscles quite well with the use of shading. Her backside is also done very well. Again, great use of shading. The arms look great. This is a fine rendering of a model. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Ray, I think you did a pretty nice job for a window of 10 minutes! The body looks good with everything in proportion. Shading is very nice. If I tried to do this I don't think the look would even be close to human. LOL

Hi Nancy, it takes a lot of practice and eye training. Concentration is key. You come out of a session exhausted. I enjoyed it and felt challenged. I am glad you enjoy it. Ray

This drawing says all I want to do is find the fresh inviting water to cool my body in! This picture reminds me of a simpler time, when the only worry you had was where to cool off! Great job!

Wow, Ray. This is a terrific example of the human form. Your ability at creating perspective by foreshortening is very well done. The towel around the figure's neck over her ponytail is what gives it dimensionality. The woman's proportions are spot on, and your use of shading to give her texture and dimensionality works very well.

Jewell, thank you so much, I am glad you enjoy it. I think she is dragging a cooler and it was ancillary, had to get ready for the next pose. Ray

Wow Ray! Pretty awesome for a 10 minute sketch, I'm very impressed! To capture the form and more importantly the movement of your model in so few lines (and time) is very impressive indeed! Very good luck in the contest.

I'm reminded of my good old days in the 70s when I used to attend drawing and art classes on weekends. Art has no rules; every stroke, every colour, and every line tells a story that only you can create. Your style is special and one of a kind, so never compare your art to others; just enjoy the process. Thanks for sharing!

That would be a fun exercise to do Ray. I don't really tie myself, but some of my pictures can take me anywhere from an hour to about 3 1/2 to 4 depending on the amount of detail I put into them. You've definitely captured the human form perfectly. Thank you for sharing.

Drawing with a live model is a great exercise to hone your skills. The hardest part is getting the proportions rights. I am glad you enjoy it. Thank you for your fine review. Ray
