This is an interesting image , the chicks are so fuzzy and they have brightly colored heads. Where the mom is black and white with a pale colored beak.
I like the way they are positioned with the chicks on the left and mom looking in from right frame. I am happy that the heron didn't kill them.
Well composed allowing a good sense of their location.
