This is surely an image with a story to tell. A pretty suspenseful scene that you captured here, Cindy. A sharp capture. You've really showcased the details with prominence, especially the legs of the spider and the textures of the yellow blossoms. Great focus, lighting, and angle. High on humor and storytelling ability. Well thought title. Love it!

I hope this monarch butterfly flies away soon. I love spiders, but I don't want him to become their meal. Composition shades colors, and presentation is very well done. Thank you for sharing.

There's a quiet poetry in this frameā€"the kind that only an imaginative capture like this can express. It draws the viewer inward with grace and thoughtfulness. Well done. Regrettably, I have run out of sixes, which this deserves.

This is a great nature shot. An unbelievable capture of a spider and butterfly on beautiful yellow flower background. The focus and clarity is perfect.

Hi Cindy, I can actually see threads of the spider web in front of the butterfly. Hope the butterfly doesn't get snared in them. You focus had to be top notch to capture those! I can see at least 4 other bugs in that goldenrod. That spider will definitely not get hungry. Super shot of both spider and butterfly! Great lighting too! Very Cool Shot!

Thank you very much :) Yes, there are several other choices for lunch, or maybe dessert. LOL

Goodafternoon
I agree the butterfly does not want to be lunch
That is a wonderful combination of insects you captured together
Both are unique and beautiful in their own way
Thank you for sharing
Hope this helps

Ha, I would give this a six rating for the title alone, very clever!

I like the compositon of the two species, neither on dead center. The spide is exceptionally sharp and adds focus. The faded background is perfect to accentuate the subjects. Well done.

looks like lunchtime to me..lol. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this spider about to pounce on the poor butterfly parked on the flower is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall
