Wonderful initial and visual impact with fantastic creativity and presentation.
Very good colors and color harmony. Like how the yellow pops nicely with the dark background. Good center of interest and storytelling ability. Very good highlights and shadows. Excellent technique and technical excellence. A fine piece and pleasure to view and critique. Thanks for sharing!

The colours dance with such freedom, yet come together in harmonyâ€"it's truly eye-catching. It seems to whisper something different every time I look at itâ€"so alive and thoughtful. Well done!

I enjoyed viewing this piece. The colors are vivid. The shapes used to create this are very nice. I like the different star shapes in the background. Looking forward to seeing more.

So, you tried it again. Well, my rating is the same as before for the same reasons. I see this as very charming and of course, with excellent craftsmanship.

This is a wonderful visual presented here. This young woman surrounded by stars. I love her hair and the wonderful background that you've created. You are amazing with sharpies. That's a medium I've never really wanted to try, but you are inspiring me so I may in the future thank you for sharing.

I would love to inspire you and others..I will warn it is an unforgiving medium..one mistake you might as well start over. In 79 I copied the Kiss destroyer album on a heavy duty 36x30"..took a month..anyway I gave it to my nephew in 81..I didn't see it again until 2014 and still looked as good as the day I gave it to him the ink didn't fade..thanks for the awesome review

A good looking image presented here! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a very enjoyable view of a dazzlingly beautiful young woman. Her hair is amazing and her eyes quite lovely. Well drawn!

HI Mark, Love the delicate touch of your star lady! I think her facial expression is very sweet! Love the long curls of her hair and the light and dark tones you used there. I also like her stance. It always amazes me that the sharpies don't bleed into surrounding colors. Your "just for the heck of it" drawings are very nice Love the stars through out her hair. IN my eyes she is a princess of the stars! I enjoyed! Wish I had a six for you! :o) Nancy

It's all in the paper..I work with an office medium so naturally an office style of paper would handle it for example card stock and poster board. Those won't bleed. When folks bring sharpie and Bic to their over priced art paper they discover quick it don't work. Glad you have enjoyed this and thanks for the awesome review

I imagine there was a lot of frustration until you learned that. Glad that you did, so all of us can enjoy your artistry!
:o)

Yeah back when I was a teenager.. wink

I was working with poster board back in the early 70s .card stock did come available till the 90s

Now you dazzle us with a secret. She is outstanding and far above all others. While being thought about she engages into your star performances and becomes every man's desire, but she holds out for her Romeo! He comes and takes her out, so that no other sweeps her off to a far away land and her dream comes true, wait and see. Dream on little star, he comes to you only. Well done Mark, I had fun with this one!!!

This is very good and a very bold image Thread clean and the colors are very bright I like how you did the shading with the different colors and it's different strands of hair and I wonder like is are they not putting out the colors you used to always use? But whatever is available you seem to miss the best of it and I think a lot of people including me would like to hear your lessons on how you use this medium. I also want to know how do you keep everything so clean like all the yellows are so clean every time I use bright colors or yellow or something light it just gets so messy and dirty so quickly. So that's my question.
Exceptional work!!

simple question..after i pencil sketch my work i start with my black (either Sharpie Razor or Sharpie Ultra fine gel pen..after i do the outlines before applying any color i make sure all pencil marks are erased..hint..if you cover a pencil mark with a sharpie you cant erase that mark..its now sealed..years back Sharpie.com used to allow sharpie artist post thier work on their site to display to the world..one of the fellow sharpie artist asked me if i can give him some tips on shading with sharpie.I gave him the most honest answered that would him by saying "Sure 3 words...practice..practice..practice...i never had the luxury of any art classes and what i learned was from Marvel, D.C. , Warren Publishing and Heavy Metal..and hundreds of drawings...practice..practice..practice..wink..oh yeah about the market on the sharpie i bring that up for the beginners..i buy also from both Sharpie.com and Bic.com on large pen set that gives me some unique colors and good price...but always keep my eyes open when im in the store..ok..now im gonna work on the white out..stay tuned..thanks for the awesome review.

Thank you for sharing all of that! I'm so glad to be working with you. I'm trying to gear my stories towards children’s books sci fi fantasy or fiction so I can see if you'd like to do the book. I have mostly taught myself to draw I drew people's faces a lot. I drew and painted in high school but after my first year in college my life changed and I gave it up. I think people who teach themselves are truly talented. I have done more artwork by myself than in any class. I'm sloppy but I have talent. Too sloppy for anyone to see though. I hear what you're saying about the erasing before pens. I do everything wrong, mushy, sloppy, lines. You should see my Virgin Mary and Jesus. What a mess I made out of them. :/ I feel if I stayed in my art classes maybe I would've learned to be neater. Ha
Honestly all artists are good and like I told my students when they'd see me draw, they are artist, too.
They were my best fans my regular students when I taught.
Hopefully the books and stories will show off your unique artwork.
I need to look into how to format the books again. I haven't done that in a while. I paused my books to do artwork but my artwork was too sloppy ha. The Sloppy Artist! Yay!
LOL.
Looking forward to seeing all of your work! Great work you're doing!
Alex 😊

ok its out there now titled "My Dragon can help(revised)"..see if this what your looking for

I reviewed it!! It's super duper wonderful! Genius! Perfect! That just goes along with the storyline better and we have the green grass one so if another storyline with Johnny and his dragon comes up, we can use it then. 😊
Thank you so much!!
