Nice...!
Very atmospheric photo, which has a strong impact on the viewer. I like the colors here as well and the rain seen in the distance.
Good work,

I really like the sense of turbulence you've captured with the wave breaking up and approaching the shore.
Adding to the impact and the emotional impact is the darkness beneath the clouds that seems to be the driving force.
It's very easy to feel what is happening here and to connect with the severity of the approaching fury.
From foreground to background it's an immediately arresting composition.

I really enjoy this image. There's such a multitude of colors. I'm particularly fond of the sky -- it looks almost like an oil painting. There's amazing detail in the little wave at the center of the image. I think that it could be a little brighter, though.

Thank you so much for your review and the very kind comments. But the 'little wave" wasn't little at all. It was about 4 feet high. The splash got to chest. I needed all my tricks and jumping abilities to keep the camera dry. I left the original dark color to symbolise the thread of the approching storm [Hurricane Dolly]

oooooo, scary. To see something like this and capture for the rest of the world to share is amazing. The difference in the colors are so dramatic. The brown of the sand being strongly stirred up from the coming storm. The aqua of the ocean growing darker as the storm barrels down. Then the grey, blue and white of the storm clouds themselves. Very powerful picture.

This certainly is the angle I wouldn't expect near. Excellent capture, great timing, wonderful colors and lighting. I like the way you have composed the photo with the horizontal lines. Thank you for sharing.

This is a really neat shot, you have some great aspects here, the sand billowing up as well as the storm in the distance and the wave. Would suggest a bit of a crop down from the top but thats a personal decision. Great work.

Thanks for the helpful review. I have another review with the same suggestions. I believe you are right. I was thinking for it myself but wanted to leave the piling gray clouds on top the thunderstorm. Looking now with more emotional distance at the picture I realise: I'm wrong. I think one must have gone through several hurricans in the Caribbean to find the gray clouds of the approaching Tropical Storm more dangerous then the thunderstorm what will be over shortly without doing harm.

Very courageous to take this photo. I think the foreground would be lighter, which would accentuate the darkness of the approaching storm in the distance. This might also give the photo depth, that to my mind is a bit lacking.

Thanks for you constructive critics. I decided to leave the foreground in the natural colors since the darkening water symbolised the approaching hurricane. The small thunderstorm was just an lucky addition to the storm surge wave. I believe a cropping above the thunderstorm clouds would give more depth but may be wrong.

I still think if you highlighted (lightened) the muddy water in the foreground, that this would also add depth.

This is almost scairy.
Good composition used making the picture show three different levels.
Great foreground where the sand is being moved by the sea.
Great middle, where the wave is comming in at some spead, and the distants telling there is even more to come.

Thank you. You made my day. You are the only one what understand the three levels and what I tryed to say: the distants telling there is even more to come". I don't agree with "allmost" scairy since the "more to come" were Dolly. Dolly toke mercy on us by hitting with only 60 Miles winds and abot 8-10 inches of rain but later hit Texas as an Hurricane leaving a road of distruction.
