Love it.. thought it was great from the thumbnail.
The colors are fantastically exposed and there are great layers and lines in this photo (see my graphic notes).
The silhouetted ground creates a nice leading line in the photo.
One thing I would have considered doing in post-work is try to boost some of the blue as it would help with abit of contrast.
Either way, great shot! :)

You are right to boost the blue would help the contrast but also take that moody feeling away. I didn't do it. I was thinking the scene would get to nice and there is an hurricane lurking. I wanted the danger beside the beauty. But I will rethink that again. Thanks for your generous review and the kind comments.

I remember when I was younger a tornado passed through my city. About an hour before it hit, the clouds were massive yellow and purplish blobs, kind of like these you've taken here. I remember thinking it strange that such beauty should herald death and destruction...

We are fine since Ike never touched us directly he took a healthy bite out of our beach and destroyed docents of turtle nests. Amazing catch of the wonderful cloud formations of Ike. They are almost rather ominous looking. Especially knowing Ike was hitting Cuba pretty hard. Ghost Riders in the sky is a good description. The colors are equally amazing. Great photograph. Thanks for sharing your work.

I think the sky is so amazing, what flow and texture, what color and lights, very very nicely captured, love the house silhouette the sand may be a tish soft but not enough to mark off for, very well captured
