It is a shame that it took as long as it did to get this shot as the light is a little subdued for me, but I really like the concept and the execution in this. Nice capture.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my photo and your kind review. The light is about the best we get for weeks. On this day some sun rays broke partly trough the clouds for a short time fortunate for me. Otherwise it rains.

Very interesting note, Oh your one hell of a brave woman :) Very simple composition yet looks very nice, just try to enhance its color a bit. It would be perfect. :) I like the formation of clouds, looks like whale is going to bite the other whale infront of her LOL!

Time and patience serves you well as you struggle for the exact right moment to reveal the elements below the waterline, cleo.
And the stroke of luck with the ship is the muse working with you. It adds the touch to solidify the upper layer of the water.
Marvelous how you've caught the transparency and how the echoes of seaweed and sand serve to enhance your photo.
You've gone from the cloud filled and pigment stained sky to the reach below the water line and at the same time to sandwich in another element of man's attempt to sail the seas and puncture the elements.
Deeply embedded thoughts that surface in your handheld attempt to demystify your interpretation of frequently overlooked disturbances below the surface.
I like everything about this photograph for all the above reasons and for the thought you've put into the effort.

I enjoy this...it is definitely a very unique and new idea I have never experienced. The lone boat in the distance adds interest to the background while not being too large or invasive to take away from the main point in this image. I may suggest cropping in a little and removing a little of the sky to bring the focus in even more on the water line. Great job!

Thank you for your throuought and generous review and you suggestions. I understand your point very well and had made several cropping but found the current version the most satisfying. Truth it is violating the rule of third in this version; the other versions all seamed to me somehow out of level color wise. But surely I will luck at it again

lovely photograph of a sea shore which has always been my favourate place.I like the light ,that is not too bright and still giving a cool pleasant look to my eyes. The sky looks cool and I liked the light green in water.the closest part is very attractive and giving an idea of motion .nice work.

Thank you for your generous and kind review. The colors are some you usually don't see on photos from the Caribbean including the Yucatan. I forgot to write were the picture was taken. I think I got the colors natural. The green is caused by the sand undeneeth the wave and the light. The farther away blue by the coral reef underneeth and the cloud shadows.

This is beautiful. It has the depth and detail. It also tells a story. I wonder who is in that boat, where is he/she heading. The weather doesn't look so great for heading out, is it coming back and so on....

I love the feeling you have captured in this photo. You say 4.40 you took the photo and it looks a cold winters day at the beack. Makes me shiver. The composition is great and I can understand what you were aiming to capture. The ship in the distance sure turned up at the right time. very well done

Thank you so much for your generous and kind review. Yes it was about 4:40pm but not cold in the meaning of it. True cold for the Yucatan around 70F [22C]. But the weather wasn't nice. Just a break in in the rain we have for weeks here now.
