Cleo this is so well presented and you have "captured a moment" and the magic of Christmas for this little boy. Santa looks like he genuinely cares. Lovely background colors and detail. I guess a white Christmas for you is out of the question LOL. Now that would be magic huh? A great contest entry!

Thank you Lynsey for your great review. Yes this Santa genuinely cares. He spend a lot of his time working voluntarily not only on Christmas. But the love we got back from these kids is genuine too.
You are right: Christmas in the Caribbean is colorful and has everything but snow. [Sometimes even snow, that artificial kind.]

And yes the organisation [were PaaMul community is only a little part of is trying to have the Christmas spirit all year around.

Art is such a large part of our everyday lives, we hardly even stop to think about it.
Look at the desk or table where you are, right this minute. Someone designed that.
It is art. Your shoes are art. Your coffee cup is art. All functional design, well done, is art. So, you could say "Art is something that is both functional and (hopefully) aesthetically pleasing to our eyes."
You write very profound words for your photograph and what make me to stay and think at all this it is a very strong motif to share this kind of of art, that remind us about other.

I loved that child but I also love the expression in 'Santa's' face who received a great gift; the love of an child for himself.
