You do amazing work with these chalk pastels Suzanne! The detail in the cat is very nice as is the color of his hair. Terrific job on the eyes with perfect lighting and shading against the textured background.

Beautiful portrait of a regal animal. The expression is sweet and thoughtful. The soft pink/yellow background was a good choice. I like the hair, which is long and flowing. The lower foreground gives the impression of light against him. Very well done.

Those eyes grab the viewer right from the first glance, they have nice realistic color and lots of depth. The texture of the fur is well done, and makes me wish I could touch it. All the subtle hints of color in the mane make this look so nicely natural. Donkeyoatey

It's a really good lifelike portrait of the magnificent beast.
The colours look good, the expression very realistic.
You've even managed to capture some of the necessary cruelty (to survive) in his eyes.
