What an imazing picture. I truly feel the sense of love between the dog and it's owner. I like the use of shadow that portrays an love that now is remembered and the bright colors of the background accentuate a happy feeling and love.

This is great the way you did it. I like the way you put all the color in the background. The way the dog and hand show up is stunning. A very unique picture. Good luck in the contest.

I love this, Shawn. I can feel and understand the connection you depict here. If you close your eyes and put out your hand, can you feel him gently rise underneath it to connect with you again? That is the message I get from this picture. A wonderful tribute to your loyal friend. Good luck in the contest.

this is truly delightful.. your choice of color wonderful. i know ZIP about photography and even less about ANYTHING DIGITAL. but it seem to me that the feathering of green on your friend is out of place. and disturbs the balance. maybe it needed more color on the chest. but like i said I KNOW NOTHING.
this is stunning and a joy to view

Shawn, silhouettes are always interesting. This one is especially nice knowing that it is your old pal Wolfbane. Plus, I always wondered what your hand looked like. :-) Russ

That is a very lovely digital picture of your dog.He must have been a real beauty. I think the picture is a great memorial. You have chosen excellent colors for the background, which set the dog and the hand out. There is much story telling ability here.

Shawn, this is very beautiful, meaningful work. I know what you mean about the size of some of these bone crunching dogs. When I was younger, I had two German Police Dogs. One of them could pick up a good size armadillo and crunch it with one huge bite. It seemed that I could hear every bone break inside the protective shell of the creature. I also saw another German Police Dog that appeared to stand at least 3 and a half feet tall to the top of his head. I like the way you are touching his head and can feel the awesome connection between human and creature. It is so beautiful to behold the respect of such an awesome and powerful creature in the presence of its beloved human master. So wonderful, Shawn. My best hopes for you in the contest!
