Wow - you really included it all in this one, MoonWillow.
What an energetic release in this composition that is so colorful and so metaphor-like in its design.
It's all totally soulful and beautiful and I really don't see any use in repeating what you so evidently and so deeply feel with this - but I can't resist a few words.
The textures throughout, the deep colors, the rings of rusted strength still holding strong, the revealing eye so delicate in placement, the inherent meaningfulness evidently felt and needing to be expressed. A wonderful artistic statement.
Truly a work of art and again - one of (in my personal feeling) your very best.

I really like the work you've created here and the message it conveys. For me, the background squares and patterns put me in mind of the tiled floor in a place of worship, so the emphasis on religion is particularly strong. It's the kind of piece that any number of interpretations can be brought to by the viewer.

This is amazing. It has such a great 3D look to it - so much depth. I love the textures and graininess and of course the subject itself which you have illustrated so well. The colours are perfect.

So well done and so much story telling. my mind went straight to the convict that were deported to Australia from England and the South Sea Islanders who were used as slaves in the cane fields. Makes you shudder. Thanking you for sharing though
