LOL. I have this photograph in my files!..Its not called "pine ridge " but sure looks the same!.lol
A good use of the low cloud lighting and my only thought as to improvement would be to try it in a "portrait" size with the tall tree and pond?.. Not sure there and it sure shows fine as it is.. Thanks,Dennis

I started it in landscape format because I wasn't sure if I wanted to add some deer or something else on the left. But you're right about the portrait format, and I wouldn't be loosing that much space to still add the deer/elk if I wanted. :) Do you remember the title of your photo? I would like to see it if you don't mind me snooping...lol. Thanks a million for the super review, Dennis. It's reviews like this that make me feel like I'm getting what I'm paying for, and still cheaper than a private tutor :))

    Hi Shawn..
A couple of the ones I posted came to mind..."One is the loneliest number" ..."Afternoon Delight"....And "dancing in the mist"...

This is a beautiful piece! I love the detail! It is exquisite! The colors and the way the water appears is so dramatic! I am not very familiar with Digital Painting, but I do know a great work of art when I see it and this is definitely a great work of art! The trees in the background and foliage in the foreground are very realistic looking. Very good work, indeed!

Another beautiful painting, MW. Beautiful interplay of colours with the setting sun and the gradual fall of night. Lovely depiction of water in the foreground and the two lone birds convey the falling of dusk very well. Great work!

Shawnee, This D/A is one of the most outstanding pictures I have ever seen!! The center of interest is perfect, colors and the way way the mirror effect bounces of the water with the shadow of the tree and colors reflecting on the ripple of the water Just beautiful,

What a lovely picture you have created. I love the sparkling colors, they rival nature at its best. The tree line in the background are downright real looking as is the birds and the foreground. Love the water and the silhouette. Very peaceful place, I'd love to go to.

A very mystical feeling oozes from this image. Is the light from the sunset, a fire over the hill, or maybe a great cauldron of lava bubbling out of the earth? The reflection is very well done and realistic likeness of the sky above. It does seem that the hedges at the waters edge should cast their shadow out a little further since the brightest light source is at such a low angle. This is still a wonderful artistic display ready for an enchanted story.
