The impact of this image I have to say is awesome.~
And yet.~as always so simple nature provides we just need to look harder.~Well spotted by you on this ocassion and captured for all to share.
A splendid little number.~& well taken,by you
The Light & dark contrasting of the clouds with the Splendid natural colour is fabulous of the blues of the sky.
The DOF & focus are technically sound

Thank you very much Jinni, I agree: Nature is the greatest artist. I'm only the messenger here. My photo can't show all. It is breathtaking in nature. In the sky above, right over head at the zenith is this beautiful arc. One falls in ave seeing this.

Thank you very much, Trev. It isn't a Rainbow but a Bravais arc caused by ice crystals.

It loks kind of like part of a Sundog..I have seen those at high altitudes. This is a very unusual capture..So lucky to have filmed this..a terrific entry to the contest. I like the photo, very clear, and so intriguing and beautiful! Good luck to you! gena

Thank you Gena, Yes sun dogs have similar colors but not this clear. This one is an Bravais arc and other than sun dogs it is in the zenith of the sky.

This is really lovely and such a summery feel to it
I love the muti colour rainbow effect at the top of the shot
The blue of the sky and the clouds stand out so well in this clear shot

This is a very good shot. Very interesting and very unusual. It
really looks like a smile from the sky. Like an angel smiling at us. The clouds looks fabulous too.
Good luck in the contest.

Very strange! And beautiful. Very interesting and documented commentary - it's a really special phenomenon. I like the difference in light intensities, the diversity in clouds shape; good luck in the contest, I hardly wait to know the location.

what a lovely title..a lovely idea..a lovely composition and and lovely narrative but I do really think that you need have a lot more contrast (or adjustments) to really capture this wonderful scene...Sorry Rob

Thank you Rob, I'm sorry but here I do not agree with you. There is no more contrast in nature. I believe a rear phenomenon as this should be reported as it occurs. I don't think we should beautifying nature. I also think that an adjustment would cause overexposure our pixellation on the technical side since the photo is taken in broad day light the camera pointed in direction of the sun since the Bravais Arc occurs at the zenith on the same side as the sun.

Thank you and I appreciate the 'purity' of your reply...one can't really better nature !...Cheers Rob
